Tobias Capwell on the Battle of Agincourt and Archery

This is taken from the Perry Miniatures Facebook Page and is a series of videos on Youtube that talk a lot about the armours of both the French and English, in particular the French Man at Arms and English Archer but also talk about the wearing down effect that English archery had on the French which is a major aspect of archery which, incidentally, I've always maintained was the most vital part of the use of the warbow on the battlefield. It even plays it's part in most of the Wars of the Roses battles where the protagonist that was forced to take the offensive due to the archery duel was usually quite exhausted by the time they had closed to melee.

If you're reading this blog then I take it you have an interest in the above subject matter. I would urge you to find the time to watch all three of the above links as Tobias Capwell's  knowledge of the subject matter is of the highest quality.

Bye for now.
